Misapplications of cognitive neuroscience are everywhere, however, we should not allow these to disempower the advances that are firmly based in science and could benefit students. Many of these misapplications come from over-simplifying information that is advancing at an exponential rate. Therefore a deeper knowledge of cognitive neuroscience should be embraced rather than pulling away from it.

Case STudies
For the following case studies, you can divide yourselves into groups according to profession/position. If you do not fit perfectly into one category, feel free to choose one that is closest, whichever interests you the most, or whichever group has the fewest participants.
- If you are a classroom teacher or instructor, join in the discussion for Group A.
- If you are an administrator, join in the discussion for Group B.
- If you work for an educational company, join in the discussion for Group C.
For each case study, try to see how a knowledge of cognitive neuroscience could benefit you. Feel free to play devil's advocate with each other in the discussion.
